ROAD RULES
Respect yourself and others. That means no negative language or conversations that may make anyone uncomfortable.
“For Queens, For Everybody” isn’t just a phrase. We live it, especially the second part. No matter your age, religion, ethnicity, politics or gender/sexual orientation, everyone is welcome to run with us and will be treated with respect.
Stay safe in these streets. We run in the busiest city in the world. Keep your head on a swivel, respect traffic and keep yourself and others safe.
Be mindful. Although we don’t have an “official” membership, if you choose to put on a WFRC shirt or tell others you are apart of this crew, you’re in turn representing not just yourself but all of us.
TRANSPARENCY
Membership fees; if you show up, you’re a member. We do not charge a membership fee.
Fundraising; we usually raise money by 1) Working with brands/organizations we feel represent our values 2) Creating reasonably priced apparel items for purchase. 100% of profits received are either reinvested back into the crew OR donated to charity. These funds help us create signage, purchase cheer items such as noisemakers or confetti and provide food and drink at various events. Founders & captains currently operate as volunteers and do not receive financial compensation for their work at WFRC.
Race entries; Spots we receive through NYRR or other race organizations are prioritized for runners who are seeking to run a specific race for the first time. If that doesn’t apply, they are released via raffle on our Heylo on a first come, first serve basis.
